Phillip Benito

Superintendent

As superintendent for Portland Services, Inc., Philip Benito brings a wealth of experience in complex, large-scale construction projects. He has played a key role in many of Portland’s most successful project including Kendall Warehouse, 132 Warehouse, Greenwich Corporate Park and others.

Benito is adept at problem-solving and schedule recovery, knowledgeable in finance and cost controls, and he works closely with architects and engineers to ensure that projects are built as designed, on time and within budget.

Prior to joining Portland, Benito worked with Odebrecht Construction, where he was involved in the construction of a number of major projects at Miami International Airport including the FAA Tower, Transportation Tunnel, Concourse A, Terminal Extension B, and Cargo Buildings 2222 and 2205. Other projects Benito has been a part of include that Water Department Headquarters, West Palm Beach Convention Center and the Ocean Blue high-rise.

In addition to his experience in the field, Benito completed a construction safety program at Florida Atlantic University, an OSHA training program and a four-year carpenter apprentice program. He graduated from Carol City High School and is fluent in English and Spanish. A native of Miami, Florida.
